For moving towards the cooperative relation between US and INDIA. US Ambassador Timothy J. Roemer on Friday did voluntary service at a New Delhi Municipal Council school to extend a friendly hand towards the common people of India.
The US ambassador, along with his wife Sally, his children and other participants from the America-India Foundation and Clinton Foundation contributed towards painting a classroom in the school located in a poor neighborhood.
"President Obama has asked me to serve as an ambassador to all of India, especially to the common people," Roemer said.
"This will also be an honor to Gandhiji, whose birth day is coming on October 2. He gave the message of serving the people of India, we are doing so by reaching out to the people," he added.
